Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Skantze Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rcrs Sarabjit!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skantze Jr fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Sarabjit rushes Skantze Jr and presses him up against the cage.
Skantze Jr is trying to pull guard but Sarabjit turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Sarabjit looking to throw knees to the head but Skantze Jr is blocking nicely.
Skantze Jr fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Skantze Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sarabjit tries a knee to the head but Skantze Jr blocks it.
Skantze Jr tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sarabjit smiles and moves away.
Skantze Jr lands with a right hand.
Skantze Jr misses with a few strikes there.

Sarabjit shoots in and bounces Skantze Jr off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Skantze Jr wants to improve his position but instead Sarabjit has moved into half guard.
Skantze Jr slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Skantze Jr manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Skantze Jr wants to control the pace but Sarabjit is squirming around nicely.

Skantze Jr looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Skantze Jr is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sarabjit to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sarabjit shrugs it off.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sarabjit has eaten all the pies!
Skantze Jr wants to control the pace but Sarabjit is squirming around nicely.

Sarabjit is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Skantze Jr tries to control but Sarabjit wriggling away.

Skantze Jr can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sarabjit is looking to escape.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Sarabjit doesn't manage to clinch there - Skantze Jr circles away.
A combination from Sarabjit does no damage.
John Skantze Jr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sarabjit misses with a series of wild punches.
Skantze Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Skantze Jr drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sarabjit really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Skantze Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Skantze Jr is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sarabjit knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Sarabjit is looking for a sweep.

Skantze Jr throwing strikes but Sarabjit manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Sarabjit swings around for an armbar but Skantze Jr sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sarabjit's guard.
Skantze Jr pushes down on Sarabjit's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Sarabjit is not content to let Skantze Jr control the position.
Skantze Jr moves nicely into side control.

Skantze Jr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Skantze Jr throws an elbow but Sarabjit slips to the side and avoids it well.

Skantze Jr thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Skantze Jr wants to control for a moment but Sarabjit uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Skantze Jr is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Sarabjit!

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Skantze Jr uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Skantze Jr swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Skantze Jr thuds his right hand into Sarabjit's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Sarabjit feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Skantze Jr looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sarabjit must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Skantze Jr controls Sarabjit momentarily but Sarabjit frees himself.
Sarabjit has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Skantze Jr is proving hard to escape from.
Skantze Jr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sarabjit can do to turn this around?

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Skantze Jr is on top in guard.
Skantze Jr throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sarabjit works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Skantze Jr seems to be working for a kimura but Sarabjit defends the submission attempt.

Skantze Jr working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Sarabjit's thigh. Sarabjit counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Skantze Jr is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sarabjit is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sarabjit has escaped and now he's on top!

Skantze Jr looking for a triangle here. Sarabjit is fighting it but it looks tight! Skantze Jr pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Sarabjit is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). John Skantze Jr!
John Skantze Jr got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
