Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Tero Karhula!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Break!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karhula connects with the punch.
Break misses with a takedown attempt
and Karhula counters with a stiff right hand.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Break has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Karhula swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Karhula looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Break ducks under a wild hook from Karhula.
Break has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Karhula finds it's way round the side to connect with Break's head.


Break is rocked!
Karhula misses with a lunging right hand

and Break moves into the clinch.
Break goes for a takedown in the clinch but Karhula prevents it.
Karhula is trying to break the clinch but Break has him pressed against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Karhula.
Karhula tries to circle away but Break has him pinned against the cage.
Karhula prevents the takedown attempt.
Tero Karhula has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Break.

Break pulls Karhula into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Karhula wants to control from the top but Break keeps moving.
Karhula throws a big elbow that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Karhula missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Karhula trying to control but Break is working from the bottom.
Karhula throwing strikes but missing.
Karhula pushes down on Break's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Break is refusing to be controlled, as Karhula sits in half guard.

Break looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Karhula tries to pass the half guard into mount. Break knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Karhula thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Break's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Break is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Karhula pulls his head out easily.

Break is staying active underneath Karhula, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Karhula is thwarting Break's attempts to control the position.
Break wants to get back to full guard.
Karhula throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Break looking for submissions off his back.
Break is trying to control but Karhula passes into side control!
Karhula working the head and body with strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Break takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Break's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Break is still in real trouble! Can Karhula finish him?
Karhula controls the position.
Break seems to have recovered his senses.
Break struggling a bit here.
Karhula throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Karhula in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Break tries to bench press Karhula off him but Karhula keeps the position.
Karhula misses with the ground and pound.
You can see the frustration on Break's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Karhula advances nicely into full mount.
Break takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Karhula's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tero Karhula!
A very excited looking Tero Karhula rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
