The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez throws a series of punches but Coul moves out of range.
Coul slaps away a takedown attempt from Rodriguez, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rodriguez shoots for a takedown but Coul saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Coul lands a jab.
It looks like Malcom Rodriguez has been cut.
Coul closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rodriguez quickly recovers to half guard.
Coul is stalling here. Rodriguez is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Coul seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rodriguez has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Rodriguez's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Coul is holding on here and Rodriguez must be using up a lot of energy. Coul has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Rodriguez gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
