Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gary Lyle! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Dean Styles and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lyle fails with a takedown attempt. Charles stuffs the takedown attempt from Lyle. Lyle gets slowly back to his feet. Lyle is trying hard to land a takedown here. Charles sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Angelo Charles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gary Lyle. Charles fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gary Lyle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lyle throws a leg kick but Charles checks it. Lyle moves into the clinch. Lyle breaks the clinch.
Charles tries to clinch but Lyle is having none of it. Charles tries to clinch up but Lyle circles away and keeps his distance. Lyle moves into the clinch successfully.

Lyle is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Charles is defending well. Lyle is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Charles pulls him back up using the underhooks. Charles leaning his opponent against the cage. Lyle breaks the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Charles slowing the pace effectively. Charles prevents Lyle from breaking the clinch. Lyle fails to pull the fight into his guard.

A head kick by Lyle misses and Charles moves into the clinch. Charles is looking to control Lyle's arms but Lyle gets an underhook and turns him. Now Charles has his back to the cage. Lyle is trying to pull guard but Charles turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Lyle manages to break the clinch.
Charles gets in close and instigates a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Charles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Charles really is a fat lump. Charles wants to break the clinch but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Charles is pressed up against the cage. Lyle has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Charles down to the mat. Charles avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Lyle pushes Charles up against the cage in a clinch. Lyle wants to stall.

Lyle looks winded! Charles will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lyle up against the cage. Charles prevents a takedown attempt there.

Lyle working hard to break the clinch. Lyle stalling in the clinch but Charles improves position. Lyle jumps guard but Charles stands there with Lyle around his waist. Lyle gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Charles has Lyle pushed against the cage. Lyle is looking to break free of the clinch but Charles has double underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Gary Lyle will probably get the nod. That's time! Charles's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Charles moves into range and clinches up with Lyle. Lyle is trying to break the clinch but Charles is controlling him. Charles manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Lyle tries to pull guard but Charles forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Charles is stalling here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lyle tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Gary Lyle seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Charles managing to block the knees to the body from Lyle.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Charles as Lyle tries to tie him up. Charles content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Lyle wants to get back to striking at distance but Charles won't allow it.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Lyle controlling the action here for a moment.

Lyle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Charles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lyle somewhat. Charles swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Charles throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lyle was covering up waiting for the punch and Charles finishes the takedown easily into guard. Charles gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Charles rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lyle moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lyle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lyle is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Charles fails in his attempt to clinch. Lyle scores with a nice head shot. Angelo Charles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lyle gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Charles to score an easy takedown into full guard. Charles drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lyle looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lyle looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lyle! Lyle prevents Charles from escaping the position. Lyle trying to control the action but Charles is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lyle working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Charles is looking for a sweep. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lyle working away. Lyle creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Charles sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Angelo Charles dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Lyle misses with a double jab
and Charles counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Charles. Lyle misses with an elbow over the top. Lyle lands a knee to the body.

Lyle jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Charles walks away with a smile on his face. Lyle gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Lyle circles away from the clinch attempt.
Charles thows a body shot but no joy. Charles scores with a three punch combo!
A low kick from Lyle misses and Charles counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lyle won't be happy with that. The strikes coming from Charles are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Charles tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lyle tries to improve position but can't. Charles is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lyle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Charles wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lyle, who protects the arm well. Charles is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lyle is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Charles misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lyle regains half guard, as Charles was trying to land strikes. Lyle works his way to full guard. Good work. Charles wanted to stand there but Lyle had control of the position. Lyle pulls Charles in close to prevent any damage. Angelo Charles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Charles postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lyle pulls Charles in to control the position. Lyle has his feet on Charles's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Charles displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lyle. Charles rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lyle moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nice body punch from Charles. Lyle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Charles counters with a nice body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Charles tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Charles throws a right hand that Lyle ducks under and follows up with a left that Lyle also avoids with ease. A slapping body kick lands there for Charles. Lyle takes the fight into the clinch. Lyle has Charles pressed against the cage, preventing Charles from circling away and getting back to striking at range. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Charles. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lyle tries to break free but Charles pushes him back against the cage. Charles has had enough of the clinch but Lyle keeps him there for the moment. Charles is trying to break the clinch but Lyle has him pressed against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Angelo Charles showed his dominance in that final round. I think Charles has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
