The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laguera is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Laguera gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Silva moves into the clinch.
Silva wants to break free but Laguera has control.
Laguera escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva fails in his attempt to clinch.
Laguera shoots in and gets a takedown into Silva 's guard.
Silva controlling the position.
Laguera is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.
Silva is trying to keep Laguera in close.
Laguera really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Rodrigo Silva wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Good leg kick by Laguera there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Laguera leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Laguera closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Laguera wants a takedown but no success here.
Rodrigo Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexei Laguera.
Laguera escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Laguera moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Laguera misses with a jab, cross combination.
Left hook, right uppercut from Laguera.
It looks like Rodrigo Silva has been cut.
Silva feints and as Laguera raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Silva drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Silva as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Laguera screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Silva ! Nice submission victory there!

In defeat, Alexei Laguera stepped up to the mic, saying 'Just a minor setback. A speed bump, if you will. "Lobo" isn't going anywhere. '.
