Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Public Enemy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Cambell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Public Enemy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wayne Cambell! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Enemy leaves Cambell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Cambell fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Enemy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cambell to the ground. Enemy is now in Cambell's guard. Enemy wants to stand and escape but instead Cambell has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Cambell engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Enemy wants to stand and escape but Cambell is having none of it. Cambell chips away with some ground and pound. Cambell works over Enemy with some ground and pound from guard. Cambell wants to control but Enemy is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Enemy takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Enemy is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cambell has just dragged him back down to the mat. Cambell wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Enemy, who protects the arm well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Enemy wants to get back to his feet but Cambell drags him back down. Cambell lands a few punches from side control. Cambell tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Enemy is not content to let Cambell control the position. Cambell scores with a couple of short elbows. Cambell lands an elbow. Cambell cracks Enemy with an elbow. That is naaassty. Cambell lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Enemy down.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cambell trying to control the action but Enemy is working from the bottom. Enemy is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cambell has just dragged him back down to the mat. Cambell taking a breather here. Cambell tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Cambell working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Enemy is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cambell is controlling him well. The referee asks Cambell politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Cambell prefers to stall for the moment though. Cambell thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Enemy taking a bit of punishment here - Cambell scoring with strikes. Cambell working the head and body with strikes. Enemy is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cambell has just dragged him back down to the mat. Enemy is breathing heavily. Cambell is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Enemy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Check out the look on Cambell's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Cambell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Enemy tries to avoid it but Cambell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Enemy to the ground. Enemy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Enemy seems to have got his legs back now. Cambell circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cambell fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice sprawl there from Enemy as Cambell shoots in. Public Enemy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wayne Cambell. Enemy shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Cambell tries to roll over but Enemy keeps him under control. Cambell is pressing down on Enemy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Enemy trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cambell's guard. Cambell is looking for a sweep. Enemy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cambell keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Not this time though. Cambell has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Cambell is holding on to half guard well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Enemy wants to clinch up but Cambell keeps it at a distance. Enemy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cambell was covering up waiting for the punch and Enemy finishes the takedown easily into guard. Enemy takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Cambell's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

A very excited looking Wayne Cambell made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
