Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Omar Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Brown has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Omar Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brian Brown!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Shaw defends well and Brown ends up having to push Shaw into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Brown breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brown shoots in looking for a takedown. Shaw tries to sprawl out of it but Brown keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shaw manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Brown misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Omar Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Brown.
Brown lets loose with a powerful body kick. Shaw will feel that in the morning.
Shaw shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Brown shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shaw defends it nicely.
Brown darts in looking for a takedown but Shaw gets double underhooks and turns Brown into the cage.

Shaw is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brown to keep the fight standing.

Brown manages to break the clinch.

Brown clinches with his opponent.
Brown wants to take the fight to the mat but Shaw manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Brown tries for a takedown but Shaw manages to get underhooks.
Brown tries to score a body lock takedown but Shaw shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Brown connects with a knee to the head.

Brown's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Shaw avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but Shaw shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Brown moves into the clinch.
Shaw is trying to force a seperation but Brown has the dominant position.
Brown jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shaw walks away with a smile on his face. Brown gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Brown darts in and clinches Shaw up against the cage.
Brown jumps guard but Shaw stands there with Brown around his waist. Brown gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Brown drags the fight down to the ground.
Brown looks winded!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Brown tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Brown trying to keep a closed guard but Shaw is proving a slippery customer.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shaw throws a big elbow that misses.

Shaw stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Shaw throws a head kick but Brown moves out of range.

Brown fails with the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Brown swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Shaw avoids the head kick by Brown.
Shaw tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brown defends well and Shaw ends up having to push Brown into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Brown wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shaw has him pressed against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Shaw gets underhooks to prevent Brown's takedown attempt.
Brown drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shaw pulls his leg out and moves away.
Brown throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shaw.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brian Brown dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Shaw has Brown up against the cage in a clinch.
Brown is trying to pull guard but Shaw has him pressed against the cage.
Shaw keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Brown's efforts to push away.
Brown manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Brown successfully pulls guard.

Brown has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shaw can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Shaw missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Brown bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shaw's guard.
Brown seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Shaw escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brown gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Brown stays in close to Shaw's body and controls the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brown postures up in Shaw's guard and throws a big left but Shaw blocks it.

Brown drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brown jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Brown throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Shaw is trying to stand back up but Brown is controlling him
Brown is trying to control the action in half guard but Shaw is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Shaw is trying to maintain the position but Brown is very close to passing his half guard.

Brian Brown has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Brown is looking to clinch but Shaw is avoiding it.
Shaw shoots in for a takedown but Brown shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shaw stuffs the takedown attempt from Brown. Brown gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brian Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Shaw's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Shaw wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance.

Brown tries to keep at a distance but Shaw has taken the fight into the clinch.
Brown tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Shaw smiles and moves away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Brown.

Brown shoots in but no luck this time.
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shaw swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brown looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Brown takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Shaw dives in for a single leg takedown but Brown sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Brown lands a hook to the side of the head.

Brown has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Shaw uses from the top position.

Brown manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Brown throws some wild stikes that Shaw manages to avoid easily.
Shaw tries to lock up and control but Brown gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Omar Shaw has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Brian Brown is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Brian Brown comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Brown has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
