Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dynamite Roll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Silakka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Timo Silakka struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The key to victory for Dynamite Roll has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roll looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Roll slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Roll has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Roll stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silakka swivels though and keeps the full guard. Roll sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roll looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silakka can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Roll controls the pace. Roll tries to free his leg and advance position but Silakka is retaining full guard. Silakka pulls Roll in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Roll thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Roll is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Roll pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Silakka is keeping the position for now. Silakka keeping moving, preventing Roll from controlling successfully.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Silakka.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roll is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Silakka looks gassed! Roll is not content to let Silakka control the position. Silakka working away. Roll controls the position for a moment. Roll is trying to control Silakka's posture but Silakka avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Roll is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Silakka is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Roll is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Silakka is thwarting Roll's attempts to control the position. Roll preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Roll moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silakka won't allow Roll to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dynamite Roll dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Silakka shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Roll sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Roll is trying to maintain the position but Silakka is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Dynamite Roll just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Roll tries for a takedown but Silakka circles away easily and Silakka counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silakka. Roll looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Silakka must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Roll is working hard here to advance position. Roll controlling Silakka's posture. Silakka is breathing heavily. Roll bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silakka's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roll passes Silakka's left leg - he's now in half guard. Silakka wants to improve his position but Roll is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Roll seems to be looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Roll passes to side control. Roll is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silakka knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Roll is staying tight to Silakka's torso, preventing him from escaping. Roll tries for a kimura but Silakka is defending well. Roll controls the position.

Roll stays in close to Silakka's body and controls the position. Silakka not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Roll is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Silakka is surviving well by controlling Roll's body position as best he can. Roll with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Silakka takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roll sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Silakka stops Roll from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Roll sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Roll seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silakka for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Roll takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Roll not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roll keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Silakka tries to roll over but Roll keeps him under control. Roll trying to pass the guard but Silakka defending well. Roll seems to be looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Roll trying to control the pace. Roll passes the guard and advances to mount! Roll tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! Dynamite Roll showed his dominance in that final round. Well Roll has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
