Longshank comes to the cage accompanied by duality by slipknot. Rick Longshank has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Longshank dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Longshank throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Longshank scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Longshank lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Negi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Negi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Longshank throws a low kick but Negi avoids it.
Negi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Negi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Longshank throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Negi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Negi jumps guard but Longshank stands there with Negi around his waist. Negi gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Longshank tries to work over Negi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Longshank has had enough of the clinch but Negi keeps him there for the moment.
Longshank throws a punch but it's blocked by Negi.
Longshank has a couple of punches blocked by Negi.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Longshank lands with a left to the head.
Negi is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Longshank misses with a body punch.

Negi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Longshank just stands there and leans against the cage.
Rick Longshank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ratan Negi.

Negi tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Longshank avoids it.

Longshank wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Negi has him pressed against the cage.

Longshank throws a series of punches but Negi avoids them all with ease.

Longshank throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Longshank lands with a shot to the body.

Longshank works Negi's body with a nice hook.
Negi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Negi counters by moving into the clinch.
Negi doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Negi blocks an uppercut.
Negi tries to stall but Longshank uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Longshank.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Longshank is trying to break free.
Longshank has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Negi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Longshank misses with a punch on the inside.

Rick Longshank decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
