Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rudolph Wheeler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deshawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rudolph Wheeler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Deshawn Jackson! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wheeler. Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Wheeler. A big right from Wheeler misses. Jackson is looking to clinch. Wheeler misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jackson.
Wheeler shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Wheeler postures up in Jackson's guard and throws a big left but Jackson blocks it. Wheeler trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wheeler in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Wheeler slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Wheeler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wheeler won't allow Jackson to get back to his feet. Wheeler might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wheeler is looking to work some ground and pound but Jackson has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wheeler throws a big elbow that misses. Jackson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wheeler controls the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Rudolph Wheeler just wasn't active enough. Wheeler moves into the clinch successfully.
Wheeler tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jackson just stands there and leans against the cage. Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Wheeler gets control of Jackson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Wheeler will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Wheeler is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Wheeler scores with a nice shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jackson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Wheeler avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Wheeler trying to strike off his back.
Wheeler is looking to stand up but Jackson isn't so interested in that idea. Jackson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Wheeler has a closed guard, preventing Jackson from standing up. Jackson chips away with some ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Wheeler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson has gone for a leg lock! Wheeler slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jackson's guard. Jackson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jackson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Wheeler postures up and lands a big shot to Jackson's brow. Wheeler loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jackson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wheeler.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wheeler with a nice head shot there. Wheeler landing with the ground and pound. Wheeler trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Wheeler working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Wheeler postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wheeler showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jackson wants to stand but Wheeler is controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rudolph Wheeler dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Wheeler has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Wheeler there as he acknowledges the shot. Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wheeler but Wheeler pushes him off and we're back to square one. Wheeler closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jackson to the mat! Jackson manages to get full guard. Wheeler stands up from guard. Let's bang! Jackson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jackson throws a strike but Wheeler rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Wheeler trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wheeler gets to his feet. Jackson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Jackson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Wheeler closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jackson to the mat! Jackson manages to get full guard. Wheeler decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jackson, up you get! Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown but Wheeler manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jackson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wheeler fails in his attempt to clinch. Jackson throws a right and a left that Wheeler avoids nicely. Jackson is breathing heavily. Wheeler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Wheeler throws a right hand that misses
and Jackson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Deshawn Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson throws a leg kick but Wheeler sees it coming and moves out of range. Jackson tries to clinch there but Wheeler circles away.
Wheeler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wheeler closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wheeler lands a nice short elbow. Wheeler looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Wheeler thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jackson wants to get back to his feet.
Rudolph Wheeler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson is refusing to be controlled, as Wheeler sits in half guard. Jackson taking some punishment here, with Wheeler in his half guard. Wheeler scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Wheeler throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Wheeler controlling the action here. Wheeler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Rudolph Wheeler has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Wheeler manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jackson on his heels. He'll look to pass Jackson's guard now, I'm sure. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wheeler postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jackson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown but Wheeler manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jackson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jackson scores with a jab to the head.
Wheeler closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jackson to the mat! Jackson manages to get full guard. Wheeler looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Wheeler throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Wheeler did well to prevent Jackson getting side control. Wheeler is refusing to be controlled, as Jackson sits in half guard. Wheeler makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wheeler. Jackson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jackson won't allow Wheeler to get back to his feet.

Wheeler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jackson looking to pass the guard. Wheeler with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Jackson can't handle though.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Wheeler keeps moving. Wheeler wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wheeler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jackson is controlling him. Jackson looking to pass the guard. Jackson throws a big right hand that misses. Jackson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jackson postures up in Wheeler's guard and throws a big left but Wheeler blocks it. Wheeler wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling him. Wheeler can't keep his opponent in guard - Jackson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wheeler defends it well. Wheeler missing with punches from the bottom.
Wheeler moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Wheeler looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Deshawn Jackson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rudolph Wheeler is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jackson scoring with punches to the head and body.
