Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Markus Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Braxton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter Braxton is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braxton moves in looking to clinch but Ruas pushes him off.

Ruas lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Braxton sprawling to the canvas. Ruas follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Braxton hang on?

It looks like Hunter Braxton has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Braxton is looking to work his way around to Ruas's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Ruas is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

That was a close round but I would say that Markus Ruas will probably get the nod.

Braxton thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Ruas pushes Braxton off and scrambles back to his feet.

Ruas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ruas wants to get up but he can't break Braxton's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Braxton, as that shot connected.

Braxton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ruas is just riding it out for now. Braxton eventually gives up the hold.
