Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Jayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Gustin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jayne's entrance music is The Doors-People Are Strange . A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Patrick Jayne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Melvin Gustin!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustin keeps the fight on the outside.
Melvin Gustin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gustin.
Jayne is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Gustin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Gustin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gustin misses with a hook
and Jayne counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gustin tries to get to full guard but Jayne has control of the leg.
Jayne is looking to advance position but Gustin won't allow it.
Jayne is keen to just control but Gustin is a slippery customer.
Jayne throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Gustin regains full guard. Nicely done.
Jayne wants to control from the top but Gustin keeps moving.

Jayne throws a big elbow that misses.
Jayne's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Jayne is pushing down on Gustin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gustin is fighting to maintain full guard but Jayne has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gustin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gustin.
Gustin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Jayne with a flurry of punches that miss.
Gustin seems keen to control Jayne's posture.
Gustin looking for a sweep. Not yet Gustin, not yet.
Jayne has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jayne with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Jayne trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Jayne stands up over Gustin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jayne looking to pass the guard.
Gustin trying to keep a closed guard but Jayne is proving a slippery customer.
Jayne slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Gustin can't keep his opponent in guard - Jayne advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jayne seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gustin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Jayne not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Jayne is thwarting Gustin's attempts to control the position.
Jayne wants to take a breather but Gustin is having none of it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jayne in particular looking to stall.
Jayne is nestled in close to Gustin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jayne passes to side control.
Gustin takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Jayne is trying to ground and pound but Gustin uses the momentary lack of control by Jayne to regain half guard.
Jayne tries to pass to full mount but Gustin defends it.
Jayne is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jayne is looking for a kimura here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jayne is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Patrick Jayne dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gustin throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Jayne moves out of range as Gustin strikes.
Gustin cracks the inside of Jayne's front leg.
Jayne throws the left hand but Gustin avoids the punch easily.
Gustin's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jayne under the eye.
Nice uppercut there from Gustin.
Jayne blocks a head kick by Gustin.
Jayne looks to land a right hand but Gustin moved out of range.
Gustin lands a big head kick that sends Jayne tumbling to the mat! Gustin takes a step backwards and waves Jayne back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Jayne is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jayne misses with a looping right.
Gustin throws a jab when Jayne was well out of range.

Jayne throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Gustin counters with a nice uppercut.
Jayne has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jayne there as he acknowledges the shot.
Oh Jayne is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jayne throws a right hand that misses
and Gustin counters with a huge head kick that drops Jayne! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Melvin Gustin!
Melvin Gustin decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
