Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Johnson duly obliges.
Johnson drives through and clinches with Joaquin against the cage.
Joaquin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Johnson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Johnson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Johnson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Joaquin trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet.
Joaquin trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Joaquin is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Johnson is looking for a triangle but Joaquin pushes his legs off easily.
Johnson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Joaquin defends well.
Johnson has a closed guard, preventing Joaquin from standing up.

Joaquin looking to pass the guard.
Joaquin is pushing down on Johnson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Johnson is fighting to maintain full guard but Joaquin has managed to sneak the leg through.
Johnson is looking to improve his position.
Joaquin is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Joaquin to get the leverage.
Johnson looking for submissions off his back.
Johnson has a hand on Joaquin's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Joaquin takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Joaquin trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Johnson is looking to improve his position but Joaquin isn't that keen on the idea.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Joaquin is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Joaquin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Johnson is surviving well by controlling Joaquin's body position as best he can.
Joaquin misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnson defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Joaquin.
Joaquin manages to capitalize on a mistake by Johnson to take his back!
Joaquin is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Johnson with him. Johnson is trying to defend but Joaquin has an arm under the chin now! Johnson grimaces and is forced to tap out!
