Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ari Love!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fisher Price!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Love tests Price's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Love throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Love throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Price holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Love stops a takedown attempt from Price.
Price drops down looking for an ankle pick but Love pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ari Love has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fisher Price.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Price.
Love throws a lazy right hand but Price sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Love stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Love wants it to stay on the feet.
Love bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Price's head.
Love scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Love tries to bum rush Price with a series of wild strikes but Price uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Price closes the distance and pushes Love back into the cage.
Come on Price - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Price wants to take the fight to the mat but Love manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Price has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Love avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Price breaks from the clinch.
Love keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Price changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Love tries to avoid it but Price manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Love to the ground. Love escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Love scores with the left hand. Price knows he should have avoided that one.
Ari Love is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Love!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Love slaps away a takedown attempt from Price, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Price is trying desperately to land a takedown but Love is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Price.
Love fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Price looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Love pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Price ducks under a wild hook from Love.
Love stuffs the takedown.
Love swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Love drops Price with a beautiful combination! Price stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Love is looking for the KO!


Price is rocked!
Love throws a lazy right hand but Price sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Price is still on wobbly legs! Can Love finish him?
Love lands with a good body shot.
Price tries to close the distance and clinch but Love swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No joy there for Love, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Love throws a poor cross that misses

and Price counters by moving into the clinch.
Price fails to pull guard.
Price looks winded!
Price keeps control of Love as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Love avoiding damage as Price throws knees to the body.

Price's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Love throws a right and a left that both miss.
Price seems to have recovered his senses.
Love lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Price circles away quickly and effectively.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Price shoots in and drives through. Love sprawls well.
Love stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Love wants it to stay on the feet.
Price tries for a takedown but Love sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Love throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Price's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Love dives in looking to finish as Price flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Love's strikes! Love is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Price's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Price was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ari Love!
