Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timur Ruslanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renat Boldyrev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Renat Boldyrev!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boldyrev wants to clinch.

Ruslanov rushes Boldyrev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Ruslanov works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ruslanov prevents Boldyrev from getting back to his feet.
Boldyrev wants to sweep here but Ruslanov controlling him for the moment.
Ruslanov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Ruslanov is stalling in the full guard.
Ruslanov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ruslanov dives in and grabs Boldyrev's left leg, looking for a takedown. Boldyrev pushes down on Ruslanov's head and hops out.

Ruslanov gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Ruslanov is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Boldyrev can't fight it off and eventually Ruslanov manages to take the fight to the floor. Boldyrev looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ruslanov throws a big elbow that misses.
Boldyrev wants to control the position but Ruslanov says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Boldyrev holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Boldyrev manages to get to full guard.
Ruslanov tries to free his leg and advance position but Boldyrev is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ruslanov throwing strikes from guard but Boldyrev blocks nicely.
Ruslanov is looking to stand up but Boldyrev won't let him.

Boldyrev is trying to keep Ruslanov in close.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boldyrev is on top in guard.
Ruslanov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Boldyrev wants to control from the top but Ruslanov keeps moving.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ruslanov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ruslanov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boldyrev avoids it really well and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ruslanov darts in looking for a takedown but Boldyrev gets double underhooks and turns Ruslanov into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timur Ruslanov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ruslanov is breathing heavily.
Boldyrev looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Ruslanov tries to work over Boldyrev's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Boldyrev prevents a takedown attempt there.
Ruslanov is trying to break the clinch but Boldyrev is controlling him.
Ruslanov is defending well against a takedown attempt.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Boldyrev.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ruslanov throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Boldyrev is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ruslanov is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Boldyrev to the mat. Boldyrev regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boldyrev looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Timur Ruslanov dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Boldyrev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ruslanov's waist but Ruslanov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boldyrev off to one side.

Ruslanov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Boldyrev's guard.

Boldyrev has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Ruslanov should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Boldyrev has tightened it up now! Ruslanov should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Renat Boldyrev!
