Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Water (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roddy Bowes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Water might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mother F***** of The Year- Motley Crue. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Water! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roddy Bowes! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bowes moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Bowes doesn't manage to clinch there - Water circles away.
Water wants to clinch. Water throws a series of strikes that have Bowes backpedaling.
Water shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Bowes should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bowes wants to clinch. Water throws a left that rocks Bowes and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Water dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Bowes regain composure!
Bowes is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bowes tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Water wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Bowes parries the strikes from Water easily there. Water is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bowes to escape.
Bowes is looking for a sweep. Water trying to control the action but Bowes is working from the bottom. That's one minute gone in the round. Water lands a decent elbow from side control. Water wants to control but Bowes is keeping him busy. Bowes regains half guard. Water stands up out of the half guard. Bowes wants to clinch but Water slips to the side and Water counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bowes won't be happy with that. Bowes gets back to half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bowes is in trouble now - Water has advanced to mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bowes is looking to get to half guard. Bowes slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bowes tries to get to full guard but Water has control of the leg. Bowes missing with punches from the bottom.
Water frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. This has been an exciting period of action! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Bowes tries to get back to half guard but can't. Water trying to control but Bowes is having none of it. Bowes is looking to improve his position but Water isn't that keen on the idea. Water in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Water is in the full mount, landing strikes. Water controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Water's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Bowes is wriggling around trying to escape.
Water content just to control the position here. Water has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bowes working to try and regain half guard.
Bowes is squirming around, avoiding Water's attempts to control the action. Bowes swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Water takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Water is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bowes is in all sorts of trouble here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bowes manages to regain half guard. Good work. Water stands up and beckons Bowes to join him on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bowes working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Water's head. Bowes throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Water is trying to keep Bowes in close.
Bowes in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Water trying to control the position.
Water looking for a guillotine here but Bowes defends easily.
Water trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Bowes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Water controls Bowes momentarily but Bowes frees himself.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Water throws a right and a left that Bowes avoids nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bowes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nice takedown defense from Bowes. No joy for Water on that attempt. Water throws a right and a left that both miss. Bowes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Water swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bowes doesn't manage to clinch there - Water circles away.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Water here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Bowes winds up and cracks Water with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Bowes working over Water with some ground and pound. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bowes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bowes is looking to clinch.

Bowes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Bowes has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Water avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Chris Water has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roddy Bowes. Water wants to break the clinch but can't.

Water throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bowes's waist but Bowes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Water off to one side. Bowes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Water tries to avoid it but Bowes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Water to the ground. Water escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Water swats away the attempt to clinch by Bowes. Chris Water is winning the standup battle so far. Water avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Water is looking to break free of the clinch but Bowes has double underhooks. Water wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Roddy Bowes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Bowes has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Water avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Water tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bowes smiles and moves away.

Water tightens his grip and picks Bowes up, before dumping him to the ground. Bowes manages to land in guard. Water stopping the sweep attempt from Bowes. Bowes is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bowes throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Bowes is striking from the bottom but Water uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Water is figuring out what he wants to do next. Bowes is trying to get back to full guard. Bowes flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Bowes is pressing down on Water's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Bowes trying to strike off his back.
Water lands a couple of decent looking shots. Bowes looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Water puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Water looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bowes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Chris Water overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowes is looking for a sweep. Water is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Water content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Water wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bowes keeps working. Water is really struggling to control Bowes but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bowes fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Bowes fails to land the takedown. Water shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Water wants to control from the top but Bowes keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bowes throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Water tries to free his leg and advance position but Bowes is retaining full guard. Water stopping the sweep attempt from Bowes. Water slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Water gets to his feet - Bowes follows without any prompting. Bowes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Water paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bowes wants to clinch up but Water keeps it at a distance. Bowes scores with a takedown into Water's guard. Bowes wants to pass the guard but Water is keeping the position. Water working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bowes.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Water showed his dominance in that final round. I think Water has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
