Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shrab Kabovik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Rabago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rabago has chosen Story of the Year-Anthem Of Our Dying Day as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shrab Kabovik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ray Rabago!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rabago drives through with a takedown into guard.
My spies in Body Pain_12elite_599$+VM inform me that Rabago has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kabovik looking for a sweep. Not yet Kabovik, not yet.
Rabago wants to pass the guard but Kabovik is keeping the position.
Kabovik on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kabovik tries to get out of the position.
Kabovik tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rabago not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rabago wants to control from the top but Kabovik keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ray Rabago was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Rabago stuffs the takedown.
Rabago catches Kabovik with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Rabago tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kabovik swivels and escapes.
Rabago throws a leg kick but Kabovik sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Rabago looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kabovik is fending him off so far but Rabago persists. Nope, Kabovik circles away and we're back to standing.
Shrab Kabovik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Rabago.

Kabovik forces Rabago back against the ropes and clinches.
Kabovik has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rabago is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rabago drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kabovik wants to take the fight to the mat but Rabago manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Kabovik lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Kabovik is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Rabago gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Rabago is trying to break the clinch but Kabovik is controlling him.
Rabago tries to break free but Kabovik pushes him back against the ropes.

Kabovik pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Rabago keeps the fight on the outside.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rabago.
Rabago is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kabovik fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kabovik misses with a takedown attempt - Rabago sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rabago shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kabovik pinned against the ropes. Kabovik gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rabago shoots in but no luck this time.
Rabago fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kabovik avoids it really well and circles away.

Kabovik stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kabovik wants it to stay on the feet.
Kabovik tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rabago swivels and escapes.

Kabovik has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kabovik stops a takedown attempt from Rabago.

Kabovik has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rabago clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Rabago tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kabovik is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rabago can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Kabovik tries to control but Rabago wriggling away.
Kabovik fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kabovik throwing strikes here but Rabago is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Poor strikes thrown by Kabovik there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Shrab Kabovik will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kabovik ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rabago moves away.
Rabago is looking to clinch but Kabovik is avoiding it.
Kabovik moves out of range of the body kick.
Kabovik changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rabago tries to avoid it but Kabovik manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rabago to the ground. Rabago escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kabovik tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rabago shoots in but Kabovik avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Kabovik changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rabago fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Kabovik is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Rabago manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kabovik's best efforts.
Kabovik with the ground and pound but Rabago uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Rabago throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kabovik trying to move into half guard but instead Rabago has managed to sweep!
Kabovik looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rabago is one step ahead there.
Kabovik wants to hit a switch here but Rabago passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kabovik there!

Rabago tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Kabovik knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rabago on the ground.
Kabovik is trying to reverse the position but instead Rabago has taken his back - oops!
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Rabago.
Kabovik is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rabago is riding his opponent, not letting Kabovik buck him off.

Rabago tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Kabovik manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Kabovik has Rabago pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kabovik pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Rabago tumbling to the mat - Kabovik dives into Rabago's guard.
Rabago is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rabago lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kabovik!

Rabago punishes Kabovik with strikes from the back mount.
Kabovik is keeping busy.

Kabovik is trying to defend against the choke here but Rabago has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Rabago Tightens the hold and Kabovik taps out furiously! Rabago displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ray Rabago!
Ray Rabago decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
