PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sanford Sharpe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhamad Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Muhamad Frazier told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Sanford Sharpe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Muhamad Frazier!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharpe swats away the attempt to clinch by Frazier.
Muhamad Frazier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frazier closes the distance but Sharpe moves to the side
and Sharpe counters with a three punch combo that has Frazier backing up. Frazier nods at Sharpe to acknowledge the strikes.
Sharpe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Frazier pinned against the cage. Frazier gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Frazier fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sharpe to the ground. Frazier is now in Sharpe's guard.
Sharpe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Frazier stands and steps away. Sharpe gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Sharpe really is a fat lump.
Frazier tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sharpe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Frazier tries to clinch but Sharpe moves out of range.
Frazier is looking to clinch.
Frazier wants to clinch.
Frazier tries to clinch there but Sharpe circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Frazier closes the distance and clinches.
Sharpe taking a breather.
Frazier prevents the takedown attempt.
Knees in the clinch landing for Frazier.
Sharpe is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Frazier gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Sanford Sharpe has been cut.
Frazier lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Frazier comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Frazier creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Sharpe's defenses.
Sharpe takes an elbow to the temple.
Sanford Sharpe's cut is getting worse.
Frazier working the clinch nicely. Sharpe is working for position but Frazier cracks him with a big knee to the head! Sharpe crumples up against the cage and Frazier lands two more shots before the ref can save Sharpe! This one is all over!
