Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Markus Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lenny Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Askren tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lopez swivels and escapes.
Askren takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Lopez's coach down at Soul Supremacy Elite Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lopez's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Markus Askren will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Askren fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lopez avoids it really well and circles away.
Askren shoots in looking for a takedown. Lopez tries to sprawl out of it but Askren keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lopez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Askren leaves Lopez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lopez lands a really nice looking cross but Askren seems unphased.
