Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Okrasiuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gordon Okrasiuk will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Silva !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gordon Okrasiuk!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Okrasiuk to the mat! Okrasiuk manages to get full guard.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Okrasiuk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Okrasiuk looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Okrasiuk can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Silva controls the pace.
Silva slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Silva is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Okrasiuk will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Okrasiuk is defending well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Okrasiuk defending against the ground and pound.

Silva working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Silva works to advance to full mount. Okrasiuk defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Okrasiuk wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Silva .

Silva is working for a guillotine from mount but Okrasiuk frees his head quite easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Silva looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Silva misses with a head shot.

Okrasiuk is squirming around, avoiding Silva 's attempts to control the action.

Silva is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Okrasiuk to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Okrasiuk shrugs it off.
Silva looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Silva throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Silva pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Silva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva throws some wild stikes that Okrasiuk manages to avoid easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Okrasiuk is in a horrible position here. Silva smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Okrasiuk is rocked!
Okrasiuk looks winded!
Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Silva stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Okrasiuk looks to clinch

and Silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silva .
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rodrigo Silva dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Silva closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Okrasiuk is still in real trouble! Can Silva finish him?
Silva lands a strong strike to the head of Okrasiuk. That's dazed him! Silva looking to finish here. Okrasiuk is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Silva lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
