Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dmitri Salnik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryusaki Yagami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ryusaki Yagami was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dmitri Salnik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryusaki Yagami! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salnik ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Salnik looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Yagami actively working from the bottom here. Yagami looking for submissions off his back. Yagami tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Salnik has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Salnik is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Yagami can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Salnik could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Yagami keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Yagami slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Salnik looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yagami with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yagami looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Salnik connects with a nice short shot to Yagami's temple. Yagami looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Salnik pushes past his half guard into mount! Salnik has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Salnik postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Yagami badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Salnik around the waist but Salnik pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Salnik is the winner by TKO! Salnik jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dmitri Salnik! Dmitri Salnik decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
