Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Rickie Lambert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Bisping! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lambert fails to land with a series of punches.
Lambert tries to sprawl but Bisping drives through with a takedown into half guard. Bisping passes the guard and advances to mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lambert is looking to improve his position but Bisping isn't that keen on the idea. Bisping wants to control the pace but Lambert is squirming around nicely. Bisping fails to move to back control. Bisping moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Lambert has worked his arm free - good work by Lambert!

That's one minute gone in the round. Bisping has control of Lambert's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lambert regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bisping is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lambert can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bisping tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Bisping wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lambert, who protects the arm well.

We've heard reports from his gym mates at EvolutioN MMA Acadamy & Gym ( 12 ELITE Coaches ) that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Lambert tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bisping wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lambert sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bisping is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lambert sees it coming and defends easily. Bisping is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Lambert throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bisping shoots in for a takedown but Lambert shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Lambert with a nice cross. Lambert throws a series of punches but Bisping moves out of range. Bisping keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lambert. Bisping looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lambert is fending him off so far but Bisping persists. Nope, Lambert circles away and we're back to standing. Bisping shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Lambert knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bisping on the ground. Bisping is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Bisping takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Lambert is squirming around, avoiding Bisping's attempts to control the action. Bisping content just to control the position here. Bisping is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Lambert defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Bisping has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Lambert has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bisping has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Lambert has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Michael Bisping showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Lambert's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Lambert goes for a double leg but Bisping avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bisping continues to drive forward. Bisping wants a takedown but no success here.
Bisping is looking to take this one to the mat. Bisping changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lambert fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Rickie Lambert has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Bisping. Bisping looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bisping has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Bisping avoids a punch combination nicely.

Lambert wants to stand and escape but instead Bisping has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Lambert keeping moving, preventing Bisping from controlling successfully. Michael Bisping is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Bisping thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bisping stands and throws Lambert's legs to the side, diving into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lambert is not content to let Bisping control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Bisping comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Bisping winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
