The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kotajarvi throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gordon counters with a nice body shot.
Kotajarvi misses with a takedown attempt - Gordon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kotajarvi shoots in for a takedown but Gordon shows good takedown defense.
Kotajarvi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gordon buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Gordon bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kotajarvi missing with a left hand there. Gordon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kotajarvi throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kotajarvi throws an off balance right hand
and Gordon counters with a nice leg kick.
Kotajarvi looks to throw the jab but Gordon is out of range.
Kotajarvi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kotajarvi cracks Gordon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Kotajarvi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gordon can pounce on him.
Kotajarvi is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kotajarvi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gordon.
Kotajarvi misses with a double jab
and Gordon counters with a flying knee that drops Kotajarvi! Gordon dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
