Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Adama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beast comes to the cage accompanied by Could you be loved. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Beast!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, William Adama!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beast closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Adama wants to get back to his feet.

Beast is working for a submission of some sort.
Adama is trying to stand back up but Beast is controlling him

Beast is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Adama tries to kick Beast off but Beast keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Beast wants to take a breather but Adama is having none of it.

Beast takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Adama is looking to escape.

Beast wants to work for an arm triangle but Adama is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Beast seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Beast shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Adama as he jumps to the side.
Beast changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Adama tries to avoid it but Beast manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Adama to the ground. Adama escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Adama looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Beast shoots in for a double leg but Adama sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Beast throws a head kick but Adama moves out of range.
Beast dives in and grabs Adama's left leg, looking for a takedown. Adama pushes down on Beast's head and hops out.

Beast goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Adama has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Beast but great work by Adama.

Adama pushes Beast away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Beast gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Beast tries to score with some ground and pound. Adama controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Beast is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Adama can do to turn this around?

BOOM! Beast connects with a massive shot to the dome!


It looks like William Adama has been cut.
Beast looking to ground and pound but Adama is blocking nicely.
Beast tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Ben Beast overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Beast lands a big shot there that rocks Adama but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Beast has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Beast loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Adama scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Beast land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Beast stands and salutes the crowd.
