Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hagen Merak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos Ramos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Hagen Merak! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Merak. Ramos lands a jab to Merak's midsection. Ramos misses with an uppercut. Ramos keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Merak. Merak connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ramos momentarily.
Ramos lands with a shot to the body. Ramos throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Merak counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ramos thinking. Ramos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Merak.
Ramos takes a swing at Merak's ribcage but misses. Ramos moves out of range as Merak strikes. Ramos slips a straight right by Merak. Ramos lands a head shot. A left lands for Merak. Ramos misses with a straight left. Ramos misses with a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Merak on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Some wild striking there from Merak.
Ramos throws an overhand right that lands on Merak's shoulder, as Merak tries to avoid the shot. Ramos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Merak throws out the jab. A big right from Merak misses. Ramos throws the left hand but Merak avoids the punch easily. Merak scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ramos in his tracks. Merak tries to move into range but Ramos moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Merak misses with a hook. Ramos swings widly with a right hand
and Merak counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ramos misses with a straight left. Ramos takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Merak fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramos just misses with a punch to the body.
Ramos blocks a jab. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Merak!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big left from Merak misses. Ramos works Merak's body with a nice hook. Merak avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ramos clobbers Merak with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Merak takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Merak thows a body shot but no joy. Merak throws the left hand but Ramos avoids the punch easily. Merak might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Ramos throws out a loose jab but Merak uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Merak takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ramos ducks under a wild hook from Merak. Merak's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Merak duly obliges. Ramos has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Merak misses with a jab, cross combination.
Merak misses with a wild body shot. Merak defending well as Ramos loads up on a big left hand. Ramos gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ramos looks to land a combination but Merak avoids it well. Ramos throws a lazy uppercut
letting Merak counter with a right hand. Merak takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Ramos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Merak. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Merak lands with a nice combination. Ramos backs away looking to recover.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramos fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Merak misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ramos is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Ramos throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Merak sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ramos ducks right into an uppercut from Merak. Merak closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Ramos! Merak dives in looking to finish! Ramos is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hagen Merak!
