Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Irvin Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawson has chosen m.A.A.d city as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Irvin Duran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Dawson! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dawson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Duran sprawls well. Duran wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dawson gets slowly back to his feet. Dawson tries to clinch but Duran moves out of range. Dawson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Duran's waist but Duran gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dawson off to one side. Duran moves into the clinch successfully.
Duran escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Duran shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dawson sprawls well. Dawson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Duran gets slowly back to his feet. Duran gets caught napping as Dawson dives in and scores a takedown. Duran manages to retain guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dawson trying to control the position from guard on top but Duran is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Duran has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dawson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dawson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ryan Dawson. Nice sprawl there from Dawson as Duran shoots in. Duran fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Irvin Duran. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dawson wants to clinch and Duran counters with a head kick. Dawson takes the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duran's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dawson scores with a takedown into Duran's guard. Duran might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dawson throwing strikes but missing. Duran had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dawson defends it easily. Duran keeping moving, preventing Dawson from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duran trying to keep a closed guard but Dawson is proving a slippery customer.
Dawson wants to pass the guard but Duran is keeping the position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Dawson is pushing down on Duran's leg trying to pass to half guard. Duran is fighting to maintain full guard but Dawson has managed to sneak the leg through. Dawson wants to pass to mount but Duran is defending the position. Dawson is trying to control the action in half guard but Duran is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Dawson is controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duran trying to control here.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ryan Dawson was stalling too much, according to the referee. Dawson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dawson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dawson wants it to stay on the feet. Dawson dives in and grabs Duran's left leg, looking for a takedown. Duran pushes down on Dawson's head and hops out. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Duran moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Dawson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dawson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! This has been an exciting period of action! Duran misses with a strike from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Dawson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Dawson tries to clinch but Duran moves out of range. Duran fails with a takedown attempt. Duran shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Dawson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Duran won't be happy with that. Dawson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Dawson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Duran to his feet. Duran is looking to clinch but Dawson is avoiding it.
Duran misses the shot to the body. Dawson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Duran napping and manages to drive through into side control! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dawson wants to stand but Duran has his arm trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duran is looking for a sweep. Duran wants to get back to his feet. Dawson trying to control the position but Duran is working away. Duran is looking to reverse the position. Duran is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Duran can't do much from the bottom here. Dawson controlling the position from side mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duran tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dawson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dawson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Duran to see if he's OK. Dawson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Duran. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dawson wants to control but Duran is keeping him busy. Dawson tries to move into full mount but can't pass Duran's legs. Duran is letting Dawson control him for a moment. Dawson working the body and head with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duran trying to remain calm as Dawson controls from the top position. Dawson wants to take a breather but Duran manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Dawson. Dawson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Duran is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Duran has escaped and now he's on top! Duran stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dawson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Duran postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duran being controlled here momentarily. Duran won't allow Dawson to sweep him here. Dawson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Dawson throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Duran trying to control the action but Dawson is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Dawson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Dawson leaves Duran with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Horrible takedown by Duran or perhaps it was just good defense by Dawson which made him look bad. Dawson tries to clinch up. Duran lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Nice takedown defense from Duran. No joy for Dawson on that attempt. Duran blocks the body kick.
Dawson tries for a takedown but Duran sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Dawson tries to clinch up. Dawson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Duran on his heels. He'll look to pass Duran's guard now, I'm sure. Dawson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Duran pulls Dawson in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are working up against the cage. Duran manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Dawson is looking for a takedown. Irvin Duran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Dawson. Duran breaks from the clinch.
Dawson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Duran. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Duran slaps away a takedown attempt from Dawson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dawson tries to clinch up but Duran circles away and keeps his distance. Irvin Duran is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dawson lands a head kick. Duran smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Dawson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Duran pinned against the cage. Duran gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dawson tries to close the distance and clinch but Duran swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duran lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dawson circles away quickly and effectively. Dawson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dawson wants it to stay on the feet. Ryan Dawson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Duran shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Dawson counters with a stiff right hand. Dawson misses with a takedown attempt - Duran sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A punch combination from Dawson misses. Duran goes for a double leg but Dawson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dawson continues to drive forward. Duran has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dawson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dawson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dawson jumps guard and drags Duran to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Dawson pulls Duran in close to prevent any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dawson can do anything to dispel that myth. Dawson with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Duran can't handle though.
