Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Carrillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silvas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sam Carrillo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Silvas! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silvas tried to score with a low kick but Carrillo checks it. Silvas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Silvas tries to stand and escape but Carrillo is controlling the position. Silvas is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Carrillo defends it well. Carrillo looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Carrillo manages to get to full guard.
Carrillo wants to stand but Silvas is controlling the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Carrillo keeping moving, preventing Silvas from controlling successfully. Carrillo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Carrillo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Silvas's corner is telling him to maintain position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silvas is in close to Carrillo's body, working some short punches and elbows. Silvas decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Carrillo, up you get! A decent looking body kick lands there for Silvas. Silvas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Carrillo wants to get back to striking at distance but Silvas won't allow it.
Silvas keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Carrillo's efforts to push away. Carrillo tries to break the clinch but Silvas is controlling the position. Carrillo tries to break free but Silvas pushes him back against the cage. Silvas prevents Carrillo from breaking the clinch. Silvas keeps control of Carrillo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Silvas gets control of Carrillo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Silvas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Silvas is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Carrillo content to stall in guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silvas is trying to keep Carrillo in close.
Silvas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Carrillo. Carrillo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carrillo preventing the sweep.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Carrillo looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Silvas looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Silvas looks winded!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carrillo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Carrillo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Silvas wants to get back to his feet but Carrillo passes into half guard.
Carrillo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Silvas wants to sweep but Carrillo has passed to side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carrillo has hold of Silvas's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Silvas seems comfortable defending it but Carrillo has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Silvas is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Silvas is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Carrillo couldn't care less - he's delighted!
