Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wes Landry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Public Enemy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Public Enemy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wes Landry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Public Enemy! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Enemy tries to clinch up and Landry counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Landry. Landry has had enough of the clinch but Enemy keeps him there for the moment. Enemy connects with a knee to the head.
Landry goes for a takedown in the clinch but Enemy prevents it.
Enemy taking a breather. Landry has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Enemy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Landry has picked Enemy up - he's going for a ride! Landry dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Enemy is not content to let Landry control the position. Enemy pushes Landry off and gets back to his feet. Landry slaps away a takedown attempt from Enemy, before circling back to the center of the mat. Enemy tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Landry holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Landry tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Enemy just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wes Landry. That's going to take a lot out of him. Landry has clasped his hands together around Enemy's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Enemy wants to get back to his feet. Landry tries to stand but Enemy is controlling his head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Enemy is trying to buck Landry off. Enemy throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Enemy has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Landry shoots in looking for a takedown but Enemy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Landry's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Enemy fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice takedown defense from Enemy. No joy for Landry on that attempt. Landry tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Enemy swivels and escapes. Landry shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Enemy as he jumps to the side. Enemy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Enemy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Landry paws at him with a jab and circles away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Landry fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Enemy closes the distance but Landry moves to the side and Landry counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Landry trying to control the position from guard on top but Enemy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Landry looking to sit in guard and control but Enemy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Landry wants to get back to his feet but Enemy is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Enemy postures up.
Landry is working an open guard so Enemy takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Enemy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Landry manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Landry thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Landry looking to hit a scissor sweep but Enemy is one step ahead there. Enemy gets to his feet. Landry looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Enemy gets tackled into the cage by Landry. Landry maintains the clinch. Landry gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Enemy regains guard.
Landry won't allow Enemy to get back to his feet. Landry wants to stand and escape but instead Enemy has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Enemy gets to his feet. Landry looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Enemy looks winded! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Horrible takedown by Landry or perhaps it was just good defense by Enemy which made him look bad.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Landry tries for a takedown but Enemy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Landry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Landry fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Enemy closes the distance looking to clinch and Landry counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Enemy's guard now. Landry trying to control the position from guard on top but Enemy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Landry wants to stand but Enemy is controlling his posture from full guard. Enemy wants to stand but Landry is controlling the position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Landry wanted to stand there but Enemy had control of the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wes Landry dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Enemy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Landry. Enemy closes the distance but Landry moves to the side and Landry counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Landry. Landry is working for takedown but Enemy is calmly controlling the position for now. Enemy blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Landry takes an elbow to the temple. Enemy unloads a knee to the mid-section. Landry lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Landry is trying to break the clinch but Enemy is controlling him. Landry is trying to pull guard but Enemy has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wes Landry. That's going to take a lot out of him. Enemy tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Enemy lands an elbow inside. Enemy using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Landry is trying to trip Enemy. He has hold of a leg but Enemy is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Landry persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Landry wants to control from the top but Enemy keeps moving. Enemy pushes Landry off and gets back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Enemy shoots and misses and Landry counters by moving into the clinch. Landry misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Enemy.
Landry tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Enemy just stands there and leans against the cage. Landry is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Landry blocks the elbow strike.
Enemy stalling in the clinch but Landry improves position. Landry misses with a hook to the ribs.

Landry tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Enemy's elbow. Landry works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Enemy manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Landry tries to pull guard but Enemy holds him up against the cage and eventually Landry drops back down to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Landry has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Enemy is trying to keep an underhook but Landry manages to get the takedown into half guard. Enemy tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Enemy looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Wes Landry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Landry is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Landry seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Enemy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Enemy wants to get back to his feet.
Landry is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Enemy has managed to free his arm - good work. Landry stops Enemy from getting back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Enemy kicks Landry off and gets back to his feet. Enemy blocks a head kick by Landry.
Landry takes the fight into the clinch. Landry tries to pull guard but Enemy forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Landry just leaning against Enemy, taking a breather. A knee to the head by Enemy.
Landry jumps guard.
Landry is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Enemy has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Landry is proving hard to escape from. Landry wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Landry throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Enemy stands up from guard. Let's bang! Landry gets in close and instigates a clinch. Landry tries for a takedown. No joy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Landry manages to pull guard.
Enemy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Landry is trying hard to land a takedown here. Enemy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Enemy fails with an attempt to clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Wes Landry will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Landry closes the distance and clinches. Enemy lands an elbow inside that Landry shrugs off. Enemy tries to land a knee to the head but Landry blocks with his arms.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Enemy obliges. Landry fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Landry is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Enemy pulls him back up using the underhooks. Landry changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Enemy fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Enemy obliges. Landry keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Enemy's efforts to push away. Public Enemy seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Enemy utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Landry managing to block the knees to the body from Enemy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Enemy moves to clinch but Landry breaks away and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Enemy tries to clinch but fails miserably and Landry counters by moving into the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Landry fails to land. Landry tries to pull guard but Enemy holds him up against the cage and eventually Landry drops back down to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Enemy creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Enemy gets underhooks to prevent Landry's takedown attempt.

Public Enemy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Landry shoots in looking for a takedown but Enemy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Landry's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Enemy tries for a takedown but Landry sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Landry shoots in looking for a takedown. Enemy tries to sprawl out of it but Landry keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Enemy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Enemy wants to clinch but Landry slips to the side and Landry counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Landry. Landry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Landry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Enemy stuffs the takedown attempt from Landry. Landry gets slowly back to his feet. Landry dives in for a single leg takedown but Enemy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Enemy unloads a knee to the mid-section. Wes Landry is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Enemy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! Public Enemy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Landry has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
