Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Richard Daugherty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Solly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle Solly will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Daugherty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kyle Solly!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daugherty tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Solly swivels and escapes.
Solly shoots in looking for a takedown but Daugherty manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Solly's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Solly drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Daugherty manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Solly has Daugherty in his guard.

Solly has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Daugherty off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Daugherty gets caught flat footed, as Solly shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kyle Solly hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Daugherty has his foot on Solly's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Solly works his way back into a safe position though.

Solly is looking for a choke. Daugherty gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Daugherty manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Solly is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Kyle Solly showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Kyle Solly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Daugherty manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Solly on his heels. He'll look to pass Solly's guard now, I'm sure.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Daugherty accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Daugherty is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Solly has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee asks Solly politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Solly prefers to stall for the moment though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Richard Daugherty.
I think Solly has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
