Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Evan Better (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Turnbuckle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Better comes to the cage accompanied by Mother by Danzig. Dexter Turnbuckle acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Better! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dexter Turnbuckle! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turnbuckle throws a low kick but Better moves out of range easily. Better closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Better lands with a short head shot on the inside. Better can't find room to land a body shot as Turnbuckle controls the action.
Better wants to take the fight to the mat but Turnbuckle manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Turnbuckle trying to stall but Better improves his position.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Better takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Better tries to land knees in the clinch but Turnbuckle avoids the damage to the body. Better escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Turnbuckle avoids the head kick by Better.
Better has taken the fight to the clinch.
Better throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Turnbuckles head. A battle for position here, against the cage. Better lands an uppercut. Better pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nice body kick there by Better. Better forces Turnbuckle back against the cage and clinches.

It looks like Dexter Turnbuckle has been cut. Turnbuckle's coach down at 11th Planet Fitness ($300/wk) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Turnbuckle's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Better working Turnbuckle over with knees to the body. Better lands a damaging elbow. Turnbuckle struggles to land a body shot inside as Better controls his hands.
Better softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Turnbuckle misses with a punch on the inside.
Better has Turnbuckle pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Better pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Turnbuckle tumbling to the mat - Better dives into Turnbuckle's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Better pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Turnbuckle is keeping the position for now. Better stands up from guard. Let's bang! Turnbuckle doesn't manage to clinch there - Better circles away.
Turnbuckle throws out a loose jab but Better uses good head movement to avoid it. Dexter Turnbuckle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turnbuckle throws a big shot that misses. Better closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Turnbuckle's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Better looking to pass the guard. Better trying to control the position from guard on top but Turnbuckle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Better trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've been hearing good reports from Better's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Better would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Turnbuckle trying to keep a closed guard but Better is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Turnbuckle wants to sweep but no luck. Turnbuckle keeps trying to improve his position. Better stands up over Turnbuckle, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Better slips nicely into half guard. Better is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Turnbuckle sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Better is trying to control. Turnbuckle wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Better looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Better is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Better missing with the ground and pound from half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Better is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Turnbuckle has managed to free his arm - good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Evan Better dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dexter Turnbuckle's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Better misses with a two punch combination.
The fighters circling - Turnbuckle throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Better manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Turnbuckle on his heels. He'll look to pass Turnbuckle's guard now, I'm sure. Turnbuckle wants to sweep here but Better controlling him for the moment. Better stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turnbuckle swivels though and keeps the full guard. Turnbuckle wants to sweep here but Better controlling him for the moment. Turnbuckle controls Better momentarily but Better frees himself. Better trying to control but Turnbuckle is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Better looking to pass the guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Better missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Turnbuckle utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Better loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Better drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Turnbuckle dives on top into guard. Turnbuckle trying to control the position from guard on top but Better is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Better is pulling down on Turnbuckle's head. It's preventing any offense from Turnbuckle, at least for the moment. Turnbuckle trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Better is looking to sweep but instead, Turnbuckle has passed into half guard.
Better is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Turnbuckle's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Turnbuckle's back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Better is persistently looking for the submission but Turnbuckle is defending it well.
