Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akisame Koetsuji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeremy Henderson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Akisame Koetsuji's chin.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Akisame Koetsuji! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Henderson! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Henderson. Henderson lands a nice shot that snaps Koetsuji's head back.
Koetsuji closes this distance looking for a takedown but Henderson circles away. A clash of legs there as Henderson blocks the low kick. Henderson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Koetsuji moves out of range of the strikes. Henderson connects with an inside leg kick. Jeremy Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Left hook, right uppercut from Henderson. Koetsuji tries a head kick but it misses.
Henderson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Koetsuji. Henderson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Koetsuji has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Koetsuji scores with a jab. Henderson scores with a jab. Koetsuji acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Koetsuji fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Henderson to the ground. Koetsuji is now in Henderson's guard. Henderson has his foot on Koetsuji's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Koetsuji works his way back into a safe position though. Koetsuji trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Koetsuji postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson wants to stand and escape but Koetsuji is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koetsuji trying to control the position from guard on top but Henderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Koetsuji is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Koetsuji working some strikes from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Henderson is looking to stand up but Koetsuji isn't so interested in that idea. Henderson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Koetsuji looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Still in half guard, Koetsuji seems content to control. Henderson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Koetsuji is working away from the top position though. Henderson looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Koetsuji scores with a couple of nice shots. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Koetsuji seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Henderson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Koetsuji trying to control from Henderson's half guard. Henderson has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Koetsuji is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Koetsuji got a little sloppy there for a moment and Henderson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Koetsuji has managed to get both his arms back between Henderson's legs - danger averted. Koetsuji pushes down on Henderson's leg and manages to get into half guard. Koetsuji works his way into full mount! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Koetsuji with good strikes from the mount here! Henderson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Henderson kicks off Koetsuji and gets to his feet. Koetsuji takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Koetsuji fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Henderson looks to throw a body kick and Koetsuji counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Henderson's guard now. Koetsuji chips away with some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Henderson keeping moving, preventing Koetsuji from controlling successfully. Koetsuji landing with the ground and pound. Henderson wants to get back to his feet but Koetsuji is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Koetsuji landing with the ground and pound. Henderson trying to keep a closed guard but Koetsuji is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henderson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Koetsuji is controlling him. Koetsuji is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Koetsuji passes Henderson's left leg - he's now in half guard. Henderson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Koetsuji lands with a punch from half guard. Henderson wants to get back to his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Koetsuji trying to control from half guard but Henderson is working away. Henderson actively working from the bottom here. Koetsuji wants to lay and pray for a moment but Henderson keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Koetsuji throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Henderson throws a jab when Koetsuji was well out of range. Henderson throws an overhand right that lands on Koetsuji's shoulder, as Koetsuji tries to avoid the shot. Jeremy Henderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Koetsuji fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Henderson manages to avoid it. Koetsuji uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Henderson.
Koetsuji takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. A good leg kick by Henderson. Nice shot by Henderson. Henderson connects with a body shot that sends Koetsuji's belly button to the back. We've been told by Koetsuji's head coaches at Den of Tears (22 coaches, $300 fee) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Koetsuji shoots in but no luck this time. Koetsuji defending well as Henderson loads up on a big left hand. A punch combination from Henderson misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koetsuji tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Koetsuji shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Henderson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Henderson pushes Koetsuji away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Koetsuji gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Henderson is looking for a sweep. Henderson is trying to buck Koetsuji off. Koetsuji is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Henderson is trying to escape and Koetsuji transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Henderson is forced to tap! Nice work there by Koetsuji! Very nice indeed!
