Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dale McCann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sherk has chosen Divinations by Mastodon as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dale McCann! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Sherk! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sherk keeps the fight on the outside. McCann tries to clinch there but Sherk circles away.
McCann tries to clinch up but Sherk circles away and keeps his distance. Sherk gets in close and instigates a clinch. Our sources have told us that McCann has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Sherk blocks an elbow strike from McCann.

Sherk blocks a body shot from McCann. Sherk has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed McCann clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. McCann looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Sherk misses with a punch to the head. Sherk misses with a punch to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McCann holding both Sherk 's hands and preventing any damage. Sherk tightening his grip on McCann, looking for the choke. McCann covering up well under a barage of strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sherk looking to break McCann's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. McCann remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Sherk will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Sherk working for a choke but McCann is defending well. McCann covering up well and avoiding damage. Sherk is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCann is trying to stand back up. Sherk is looking for the choke from the back position but McCann is controlling his hands well. Sherk working for the choke. Sherk is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! McCann is tapping out! This one is all over!
