The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Willis circles away from the clinch attempt.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

St Willis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Hays is taking a breather. St Willis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
St Willis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hays's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hays's back!

I really don't envy Hays right now.

Keith Hays is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
This has been an exciting period of action!
You get the feeling that Hays really doesn't like being in this position too much.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Keith Hays.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hays, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
