Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Davy Jones Junior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kimroy Hoo! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoo looks to land a body kick but Jones Junior moved away. Jones Junior blocks a jab. Jones Junior waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hoo. Jones Junior shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones Junior is working for a submission of some sort.
Hoo wants to control but Jones Junior is keeping busy.
Jones Junior is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hoo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jones Junior. Jones Junior keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Hoo felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones Junior is working for a kimura but Hoo is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hoo is refusing to be controlled, as Jones Junior sits in half guard. Hoo tries to roll over but Jones Junior keeps him under control. Jones Junior is keen to just control but Hoo is a slippery customer. Hoo wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones Junior is looking for a kimura here.

Hoo is looking for a sweep. Jones Junior is looking to take a break and control but Hoo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones Junior misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Jones Junior wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hoo, who protects the arm well. Jones Junior tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Jones Junior wants to control but Hoo is keeping him busy. Jones Junior goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hoo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jones Junior but great work by Hoo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones Junior struggling a bit here. Jones Junior is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Hoo is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Hoo manages to capitalize on a mistake by Jones Junior to take his back! Jones Junior rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Jones Junior tries to get to full guard but Hoo has control of the leg. Jones Junior is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hoo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hoo's back! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hoo showing good submission defense here.

Jones Junior throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jones Junior misses the jab. Davy Jones Junior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hoo moves into the clinch. Hoo lands an elbow inside that Jones Junior shrugs off.
It looks like Davy Jones Junior has been cut. A right handed body shot lands from Jones Junior.

Jones Junior tries to throw a body punch but Hoo avoids it by throwing Jones Junior back against the cage. Jones Junior tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hoo's elbow. Hoo blocking some punches.

With the fighters up against the cage, Hoo throws an elbow but misses. Jones Junior blocks a body shot from Hoo. Hoo is trying to maintain a safe position but Jones Junior gets an underhook and turns Hoo into the cage. Hoo misses with some punches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones Junior is working Hoo over against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoo prevents Jones Junior from breaking the clinch. Jones Junior misses with a punch on the inside.
Hoo gets through Jones Junior's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Hoo lands with a light punch inside. Hoo dodges an elbow strike from Jones Junior.
Hoo lands a knee to the head.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Hoo. A short right from Jones Junior on the inside. Jones Junior doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hoo looking to slow down the pace here. A head punch on the inside from Jones Junior fails to land. Jones Junior avoiding damage as Hoo throws knees to the body.
Jones Junior tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jones Junior avoids a wild elbow strike from Hoo. Jones Junior takes an elbow to the temple. A nice left hand lands by Hoo.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones Junior digs a right hand underneath Hoo's ribcage. Hoo let out a lung full of air as it connected. Jones Junior misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hoo.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Hoo.
Davy Jones Junior's cut is getting worse. Jones Junior wants the takedown. Hoo is fighting it off but Jones Junior persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hoo's guard against the cage. Hoo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Jones Junior is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jones Junior working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Kimroy Hoo was stalling too much, according to the referee. Hoo connects with a crisp jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hoo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Hoo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Jones Junior looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Hoo misses with a hook. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones Junior scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. A punch lands to the side of Hoo 's head but he takes it in his stride. Hoo throws a head kick that Jones Junior semi-blocks.

A close second round but Kimroy Hoo will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Davy Jones Junior's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Good work by Jones Junior as he checks the leg kick. Jones Junior closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hoo is not content to let Jones Junior control the position. Jones Junior working away. Hoo managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Jones Junior.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hoo is letting Jones Junior control him for a moment. Jones Junior cracks Hoo with a big right hand but Hoo just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Hoo can't do much from the bottom here. Jones Junior connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hoo some visible discomfort.
Hoo prevents Jones Junior from moving into mount. Davy Jones Junior overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hoo tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jones Junior throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Hoo can't do much from the bottom here. Jones Junior wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hoo, who protects the arm well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones Junior is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hoo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Jones Junior trying to control the position but Hoo is working away. The strikes coming from Jones Junior are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoo is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hoo is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Hoo is looking to reverse the position. Jones Junior tries to advance to mount but can't. The ground and pound from Jones Junior seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Hoo trying to control but Jones Junior flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Hoo trying to control the position but Jones Junior manages to sink in the hooks. Will Jones Junior go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones Junior looking for the RNC. Jones Junior looking to break Hoo's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hoo remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Jones Junior will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hoo fending off the submission attempt from Jones Junior. Hoo defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones Junior missing with strikes from the back.
