Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyndon Russell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricio Rua has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ricio Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lyndon Russell!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Russell's head.
Russell's corner calls for a 1-2. Russell obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Russell stuffs the takedown.
Russell has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Rua takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Russell scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rua shoots for a takedown but Russell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Russell forces Rua back against the cage and clinches.
Rua successfully pulls guard.
Rua looking to hit a scissor sweep but Russell is one step ahead there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rua throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Lyndon Russell has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Rua fails with the takedown
and Rua takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricio Rua. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rua shoots in but no luck this time.
Russell tries to bum rush Rua with a series of wild strikes but Rua uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Danga de danga de dang - Russell scores with a four punch combination!
Rua throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Russell's waist but Russell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rua off to one side.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rua forces Russell back against the cage and clinches.
Russell lands a body punch.
Rua is working for takedown but Russell is calmly controlling the position for now.
Rua is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Russell lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Russell softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Rua tries to pull guard but Russell won't allow it.
Russell creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Rua with a big uppercut! Rua tries to clinch up but Russell pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Rua to the mat! Rua covers up and Russell unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Lyndon Russell!
