Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Owidiusz Sknerski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ashley Hendricks!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sknerski plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Hendricks changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sknerski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hendricks is looking to take a break and control but Sknerski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hendricks prevents Sknerski from improving his position.
Hendricks wants to take a breather but Sknerski is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

We've been hearing good reports from Sknerski's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Hendricks shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sknerski pinned against the cage. Sknerski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hendricks uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sknerski.

Hendricks closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sknerski's guard.

Sknerski has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Ashley Hendricks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Hendricks will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hendricks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sknerski is rocked!

Hendricks working for a submission but Sknerski is keeping him at bay.
Oh Sknerski is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hendricks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hendricks has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sknerski's face.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hendricks postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Sknerski badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Hendricks around the waist but Hendricks pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Hendricks is the winner by TKO! Hendricks jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ashley Hendricks!
Our winner, Ashley Hendricks, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
