Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jin Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandr Loshkarev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexandr Loshkarev has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jin Kim's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jin Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexandr Loshkarev!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loshkarev tries to clinch but Kim is having none of it.
Kim throws a head kick but Loshkarev moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Kim. No joy for Loshkarev on that attempt.
Loshkarev shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kim defends it nicely.

and Kim counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kim throws a leg kick but Loshkarev sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Jin Kim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexandr Loshkarev.
Kim throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Loshkarev takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Loshkarev is looking to chop away at Kim's legs.
Kim seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kim motions for Loshkarev to come forward. Kim throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Some bone on bone action there as Loshkarev checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Loshkarev blocks the body kick.
Kim tries to bum rush Loshkarev with a series of wild strikes but Loshkarev uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kim.
Kim misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kim goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Loshkarev blocks a leg kick.

Loshkarev clinches up with Kim and pushes him back against the cage.

Loshkarev jumps guard but Kim turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Loshkarev trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Kim tries to stand but Loshkarev is controlling from the bottom.
Loshkarev pulls Kim in close to prevent any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Loshkarev shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Loshkarev showed some decent athleticism there.
Loshkarev seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kim does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kim is trying to control but Loshkarev passes into side control!
Kim gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Loshkarev is just content to waste time from the top position. Kim takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Loshkarev trying to control the position from guard on top but Kim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kim has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Loshkarev is looking to work some ground and pound but Kim has wrist control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jin Kim will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kim looks for the body kick but Loshkarev saw that one coming.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Kim is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Kim prevents Loshkarev from breaking the clinch.

Loshkarev misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kim.
Kim lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Kim has Loshkarev pushed against the cage.
Loshkarev tries to circle away but Kim has him pinned against the cage.
Kim just leaning against Loshkarev, taking a breather.
Kim is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Loshkarev is defending well for now.

Loshkarev jumps guard but Kim stands there with Loshkarev around his waist. Loshkarev gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Loshkarev is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kim gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Kim lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Kim is fighting off a takedown attempt but Loshkarev is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kim to the mat. Kim regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Kim bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Loshkarev's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Loshkarev holds on and takes a little breather.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jin Kim.
Loshkarev dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Loshkarev is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kim sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kim lands a two punch combo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Loshkarev fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kim manages to avoid it.
A head kick misses from Kim.
Kim throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kim swings for the body but Loshkarev moves out of range.
Loshkarev has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kim finds it's way round the side to connect with Loshkarev's head.

Loshkarev swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kim misses with a body kick.
Loshkarev shoots in for a takedown but Kim shows good takedown defense.

and Loshkarev counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Loshkarev controls from within his opponent's guard.
Kim has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Loshkarev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kim swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A combination from Kim does no damage.
Kim pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Loshkarev tries to clinch up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Loshkarev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kim counters with a left to the body.
Loshkarev tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kim defends well and Loshkarev ends up having to push Kim into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Loshkarev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kim pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Loshkarev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kim cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kim leaves Loshkarev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kim throws a right and a left that Loshkarev avoids nicely.
Kim lands a nice shot to the body.
Loshkarev checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Kim ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Loshkarev takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Loshkarev takes one on the button.
Kim looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Loshkarev shoots in looking for a takedown but Kim manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Loshkarev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kim is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Loshkarev shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kim as he avoids it easily.
Loshkarev takes one on the chin but seems OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kim throws the kick towards the body but Loshkarev avoids it.
Loshkarev shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kim as he jumps to the side.
Loshkarev takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kim lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Loshkarev blocks the body kick.
Alexandr Loshkarev has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jin Kim is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kim displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Loshkarev.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jin Kim showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kim, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
