Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Everette!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Franco!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Franco does no damage.
Franco fails with a takedown attempt.
Everette fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Everette thows a body shot but no joy.
Everette throws a leg kick but Franco sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Everette lands a nice shot that snaps Franco's head back.
We've been told by Everette's head coaches at LOD: Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Franco avoids the body shot from Everette.
Everette lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Franco shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Franco was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Franco connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Everette some visible discomfort.

Everette tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Franco wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Everette is not content to let Franco control the position.
Franco tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Franco is looking to take a break and control but Everette is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Everette might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Everette is trying to get back to his feet.

Everette connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Everette ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Franco shoots in looking for a takedown. Everette tries to sprawl out of it but Franco keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Everette manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Everette feints a jab promting Franco to slip. Everette then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Franco slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Franco fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Everette avoids it really well and circles away.
