Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Franky Bouthillette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franky Bouthillette has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Franky Bouthillette!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Walker!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bouthillette misses with a series of wild punches.

Walker shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bouthillette manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bouthillette not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Walker wanted to stand there but Bouthillette had control of the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Franky Bouthillette wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Walker manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bouthillette on his heels. He'll look to pass Bouthillette's guard now, I'm sure.

Walker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bouthillette has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Walker has managed to get both his arms back between Bouthillette's legs - danger averted.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bouthillette looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Walker is fending him off so far but Bouthillette persists. Nope, Walker circles away and we're back to standing.
Walker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Walker has Bouthillette pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bouthillette manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bouthillette looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Walker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Walker is on top in guard.

We've been informed that Walker has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bouthillette throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Walker escapes and throws Bouthillette's legs to the side, diving into side control!

That was a close second round but I would say that Franky Bouthillette will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Bouthillette will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Walker throws a head kick that misses.
Walker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bouthillette moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Walker wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Walker drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bouthillette gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bouthillette cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Bouthillette lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Walker is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Walker tries to hold on but Bouthillette pushes him away.
Bouthillette cracks Walker with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Don Walker was interviewed post fight and said 'I promise that I will continue to get better and give a great show'.
