Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hitmon Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akeel Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hitmon Chan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Akeel Lynch!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lynch scores with a decent looking hook.
Chan moves away from the strike by Lynch.
Chan throws a head kick but Lynch moves out of range.
Chan tries a low kick but Lynch avoids it.
Chan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lynch throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lynch ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chan moves away.
Chan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lynch checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Lynch takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Chan looks to throw the jab but Lynch is out of range.
Chan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lynch jabbing away but nothing is landing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chan looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Chan connects with an inside leg kick.
Chan blocks a jab.
Chan stuffs the takedown attempt from Lynch. Lynch gets slowly back to his feet.
Chan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A good leg kick by Chan.
A head kick misses from Chan.
Lynch throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lynch checks a leg kick.
Chan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lynch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lynch bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A head kick from Chan lands but Lynch takes it in his stride.
Lynch moves out of range of the body kick from Chan.
The crowd cheers as Lynch lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chan doesn't seem phased though.
A bone on bone clash there as Lynch blocks the leg kick.
Lynch throws a body punch but Chan moves out of range.
Lynch throws a poor cross that misses
and Chan counters with a thumping low kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lynch throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Lynch shoots in and gets a takedown into Chan's guard.
Chan keeping moving, preventing Lynch from controlling successfully.
Chan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lynch wants to control from the top but Chan keeps moving.

Chan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lynch is pushing down on Chan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chan is fighting to maintain full guard but Lynch has managed to sneak the leg through.
Chan is not content to let Lynch control the position.
Chan wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ground and pound from Lynch.
Lynch not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Lynch is trying to control the action in half guard but Chan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Lynch trying to control from Chan's half guard. Chan has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Lynch's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Lynch postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lynch trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lynch is looking to work some ground and pound but Chan has wrist control.
Chan is trying to keep Lynch in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Akeel Lynch dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Lynch fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Chan on the side of the head.
Chan throws a head kick that half lands.
Chan thows a left - swing and a miss!
Lynch avoids the head kick by Chan.

Lynch scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Lynch trying to control the action but Chan is working from the bottom.
Chan struggling a bit here.

Lynch cracks Chan with a big right hand but Chan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Chan can't do much from the bottom here.
Lynch lands a nice forearm strike.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Lynch in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chan takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Chan is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lynch connects with a decent elbow.
Lynch wants to control but Chan is keeping him busy.
Lynch in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Chan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chan tries to get out of the position.

Lynch scores with punches from side control.
Lynch tries to advance to mount but Chan denies him.
Akeel Lynch has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lynch works to advance to full mount. Chan defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Lynch postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Chan looks a forlorn figure.
Lynch looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Lynch avoids the attempt from Chan to control.
Chan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lynch postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Chan in real trouble here! The ref calls for Chan to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Akeel Lynch!
