The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cleaver gets tackled into the cage by Mcgregor. Mcgregor maintains the clinch.
Cleaver looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Cleaver goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Cleaver lands an elbow inside.
Mcgregor is trying to break the clinch but Cleaver has him pressed against the cage.
Cleaver keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mcgregor's efforts to push away.
Mcgregor lands a right hand.
Cleaver throws an elbow but it misses.

A nice left hand lands by Mcgregor.

Mcgregor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cleaver is trying to stall.

Mcgregor has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Mcgregor lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cleaver backwards.

Cleaver has Mcgregor pressed against the cage, preventing Mcgregor from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Cleaver is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Mcgregor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mcgregor looks to land a combination but Cleaver avoids it well.

Mcgregor moves into range and clinches up with Cleaver.

Mcgregor is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Mcgregor lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Cleaver has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Mcgregor seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Cleaver can turn it around.
Still in the clinch, Mcgregor scores with a nice short uppercut.

Mcgregor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mcgregor throws a nice looking combination but Cleaver bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mcgregor lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Cleaver goes down and covers up as Mcgregor starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

After the fight, Mac Mcgregor was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
