The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beck throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Gonzalez scores with a body shot.
Gonzalez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Beck looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beck tries to improve position but can't. Gonzalez trying to control the position but Beck is working away. Gonzalez has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Beck is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gonzalez yanks on the arm and Beck is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gonzalez.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Luiz Fernando Gonzalez!
