The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poluyanov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Runner closes the distance and clinches up with Poluyanov, looking for a takedown. Runner pushes Poluyanov against the cage but Poluyanov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Poluyanov throws a sloppy head kick and Runner moves out of range easily.
A big left from Poluyanov misses.
Poluyanov tries a head kick but it misses.
Runner takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Poluyanov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Runner shoots in for a double leg but Poluyanov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Runner blocks a head kick by Poluyanov.
Poluyanov looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Poluyanov scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
No luck for Runner with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Runner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Runner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Runner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Poluyanov's waist but Poluyanov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Runner off to one side.

Poluyanov knocks Runner to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

Poluyanov decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Runner steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Poluyanov. That one must have hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Poluyanov throws an overhand right that has Runner reeling! Poluyanov follows up with a more punches and Runner is out cold! This one is all over!
