PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Olof Orkidea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anzhor Azhiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orkidea comes to the cage accompanied by You're The Best. Azhiev has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. On his way into the cage it seems that Olof Orkidea has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Olof Orkidea seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azhiev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Orkidea counters with a shoot takedown. Azhiev fights it but they end up in guard.
Azhiev looks winded!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Orkidea decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Orkidea lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Azhiev takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Orkidea throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Orkidea throws a quick inside leg kick.

Orkidea darts in and clinches Azhiev up against the cage.

Orkidea breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Orkidea lands with a slapping head kick.
Azhiev shoots for a takedown but Orkidea saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Orkidea lands a big head kick that sends Azhiev tumbling to the mat! Orkidea takes a step backwards and waves Azhiev back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Azhiev is rocked!
Orkidea throws a quick head kick that knocks Azhiev silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Orkidea is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Olof Orkidea!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Olof Orkidea waved his t-shirt featuring CEC Nutrition Q160's logo in front of the cameras.
Anzhor Azhiev spoke after the fight, saying 'I still want that title shot. Im the most experienced fighter here and everyday wants to see me smash the champ so lets do it whenever he starts ducking me.'.
