The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wardrop's head backwards.
It looks like David Wardrop has been cut.
Wardrop throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wardrop off to one side.
No luck for Wardrop with that takedown attempt.
Jones lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
This has been an exciting period of action!
