Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alejando De La Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Last Least (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Least comes into a darkened arena with his song building. R.E.M. - It's The End Of The World kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alejando De La Vega!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Last Least!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Least turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Least bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Least misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
De La Vega knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Least on the ground.

Least wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by De La Vega, who protects the arm well.

Least tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Least working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
De La Vega wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Least looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
My spies in Cozad The Island inform me that Least has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

De La Vega tries to escape but Least is in control.

Least tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Least has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Least wants to lay and pray for a moment but De La Vega keeps working.

Least is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, De La Vega has escaped the position, nice work there.
Least is looking to take a break and control but De La Vega is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Least prevents De La Vega from escaping the position.

Least tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Least has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Least is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. De La Vega knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
De La Vega is not content to let Least control the position.
Least is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
De La Vega is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Least wants to lay and pray for a moment but De La Vega keeps working.
Least prevents De La Vega from escaping the position.

Least trying to control the action but De La Vega is working from the bottom.
De La Vega is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Least asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Least tries for a kimura but De La Vega is defending well.
Least misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

De La Vega tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Least trying to control but De La Vega is having none of it.
Least thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
De La Vega blocking the ground and pound.

Least is working for a guillotine from mount but De La Vega frees his head quite easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Least trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Last Least dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Least is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
De La Vega looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Least shoots in and drives through. De La Vega sprawls well.

De La Vega rushes Least and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
De La Vega lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Least tries to pull guard but De La Vega forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Least has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. De La Vega avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Alejando De La Vega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Last Least.
A right handed body shot lands from De La Vega.
Still in the clinch, De La Vega scores with a nice short uppercut.
Least looking for a takedown.
A short right hand to the side of the head by De La Vega.
A shot in the inside from De La Vega.
Least is looking to take this one to the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
De La Vega lands a hook to the side of the head.
Least can't get the takedown.
Least jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as De La Vega walks away with a smile on his face. Least gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

De La Vega moves into range and clinches up with Least.
Least tries to score a body lock takedown but De La Vega shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
De La Vega lands a nice uppercut.
Least misses with a punch on the inside.
Least goes for a takedown attempt but De La Vega pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Least is breathing heavily.
Least shoots in for a takedown but De La Vega shows good takedown defense.
Least doesn't succeed with the takedown

and De La Vega counters with a crisp one two that drops Least! De La Vega thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Least to his feet! Least is in big trouble!


Least is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Least tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. De La Vega manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Least is still on wobbly legs! Can De La Vega finish him?
Least shoots in looking for a takedown but De La Vega manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Least's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Least seems to have recovered his senses.
Least tries to close the distance and clinch but De La Vega swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

De La Vega pushes Least up against the cage in a clinch.
De La Vega working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Least is working for takedown but De La Vega is calmly controlling the position for now.
A quick uppercut on the inside from De La Vega.
Least has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. De La Vega avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Least is trying to pull guard but De La Vega turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
De La Vega makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
De La Vega lands a nice shot to the body.
De La Vega lands a right hand.
Least is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Least looking for a takedown.
Still in the clinch, De La Vega scores with a nice short uppercut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, De La Vega creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
De La Vega dips a shoulder and cracks Least with a mighty uppercut! Least falls back against the cage and De La Vega unloads with a barrage of strikes! Least is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - De La Vega screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alejando De La Vega!
Last Least spoke after the fight, saying 'I suck...I really do. I should find something else to do with my life.'.
