The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies misses with a jab, cross combination.
Humphrey dodges the punch combination from Davies.
Humphrey showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Davies.
Humphrey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Davies looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Humphrey tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davies paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Davies misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Davies cracks Humphrey with a right hand to the side of the head.

Humphrey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Davies sprawls well initially but Humphrey persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Davies stuffs the takedown attempt from Humphrey. Humphrey gets slowly back to his feet.
Davies lunges at Humphrey with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Humphrey's hand.

and Humphrey counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Humphrey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Davies is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Humphrey's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Humphrey's back!
Davies lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Davies.

Humphrey looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Davies lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Humphrey.

Davies is breathing heavily.

Davies lands a good shot there. Humphrey covers up! Davies smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Humphrey to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Davies jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!
