And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yoshi Sushi!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sushi avoids the head kick by Norris Jr.
Norris Jr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Norris Jr throws a head kick but Sushi moves out of range.
Norris Jr throws a sloppy head kick and Sushi moves out of range easily.
Norris Jr throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Sushi.


It looks like Yoshi Sushi has been cut.
Sushi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sushi there as he acknowledges the shot.
Norris Jr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sushi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Norris Jr.
Norris Jr chopping away at his opponent's legs.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sushi has eaten all the pies!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Norris Jr throws a head kick but Sushi moves out of range.
Norris Jr fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sushi is out of range.

Sushi drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sushi stands and throws Norris Jr's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Norris Jr tries to buck Sushi off but Sushi is having none of it.

Sushi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Norris Jr knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Norris Jr tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Norris Jr wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sushi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sushi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Sushi has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Norris Jr stops Sushi from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Sushi has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Norris Jr is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Yoshi Sushi!
