The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiasson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Takala momentarily.
Chiasson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Takala. Takala circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Takala shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Chiasson misses with a looping left.
Chiasson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Takala swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Takala has Chiasson up against the cage in a clinch.

Takala is looking to clinch but Chiasson is avoiding it.
Takala tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chiasson defends well and Takala ends up having to push Chiasson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Chiasson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Chiasson wants to break free but Takala has control.
