Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stone Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dane Brigglett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kirby's entrance music is eye of the tiger. A fine choice. Dane Brigglett will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Stone Kirby! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dane Brigglett! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brigglett scores with a jab. Kirby acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Kirby jabs Brigglett right on the nose. Brigglett blinks but takes it well. Brigglett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kirby moves away. Kirby lands a lovely overhand right. Kirby throws a shot to the body.
Brigglett misses with an uppercut
and Kirby makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Kirby scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kirby misses with a body kick. Kirby throws the kick towards the body but Brigglett avoids it. Kirby throws a head kick that misses. Brigglett throws a hook but Kirby avoids it easily. Kirby tries a head kick but it misses.
Stone Kirby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brigglett catches Kirby with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kirby chopping away at his opponent's legs.

That's one minute gone in the round. Brigglett has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kirby. A punch combination from Kirby misses. Brigglett lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Kirby throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Kirby lands a leg kick that knocks Brigglett off balance momentarily. Kirby closes the distance and clinches. Kirby tries a body shot but Brigglett blocks it.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Brigglett. Our sources have told us that Kirby has been working on his elbows in the gym. Brigglett dodges an elbow strike from Kirby.
Kirby comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Dane Brigglett has been cut. Brigglett lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Kirby lands a nice elbow. Brigglett tries to throw a body punch but Kirby avoids it by throwing Brigglett back against the cage. Brigglett lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Kirby. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brigglett pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kirby fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brigglett throws a leg kick and Kirby counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Brigglett throws a leg kick and Kirby counters with a slapping leg kick. Kirby tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kirby does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Kirby staying out of range there. Kirby blocks a head kick by Brigglett.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brigglett thows a body shot but no joy. Brigglett misses with a hook. Kirby ducked under it nicely. Kirby feints and then cracks Brigglett's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brigglett down. Kirby connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Kirby throws an overhand right that lands on Brigglett's shoulder, as Brigglett tries to avoid the shot. Kirby moves out of range of the strikes. A big right from Kirby misses. Kirby throws a big shot that misses. Kirby cracks a nice hook into Brigglett's ribs. Kirby throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brigglett throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kirby looks to score with a jab to the body but Brigglett is just out of range. Good work by Brigglett as he checks the leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kirby throws out a powerful jab. Brigglett swinging wildly here.
Kirby pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Brigglett lands a right hook to the body.
Kirby slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brigglett throws a right hand that Kirby ducks under and follows up with a left that Kirby also avoids with ease. Kirby tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kirby clinches up with Brigglett and pushes him back against the cage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kirby blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Brigglett is looking to control Kirby's arms but Kirby gets an underhook and turns him. Now Brigglett has his back to the cage. Brigglett avoids a wild elbow strike from Kirby. Kirby gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Stone Kirby will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dane Brigglett's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kirby doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Brigglett lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kirby at a distance.
Brigglett connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Kirby shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Kirby throws a leg kick that is checked and Brigglett counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kirby lands a lovely overhand right. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Brigglett. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Kirby scores with the left hand. Brigglett knows he should have avoided that one. Kirby throws a chopping leg kick but Brigglett manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Brigglett takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kirby lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Brigglett checks a leg kick. Kirby tries to clinch there but Brigglett circles away.
Brigglett misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kirby throws a push kick but Brigglett slaps the foot to one side. Brigglett tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Brigglett keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kirby shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Kirby throws a leg kick but Brigglett moved away. Kirby connects with a leg kick. Brigglett looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Oh, that's a big right hand from Brigglett and Kirby goes tumbling to the canvas! Brigglett follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Kirby is rocked! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Brigglett lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Oh Kirby is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Brigglett looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
My spies in K.O. Koala's inform me that Brigglett has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Brigglett scores with a big shot! Kirby's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Kirby! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
